Returning to her world, they married in a ceremony that set Gotham ablaze. At the reception, the cake cutting ceremony took a gruesome turn. As her new husband playfully mashed her face into the cake, years of abuse took its toll. Something in Harley snapped. She used the ceremonial knife to slash Joker’s throat. Still wearing her wedding gown, Harley now resides permanently in Arkham Asylum.
Harley kills the Joker. At least in another world, Harley is given justice but the character endng for Harley left an awkward taste in my mouth.This ending strikes across to me is that Harley is in a possible state of confusion and shock over what she has done and can’t seem to get over the fact that she killed her husband/tormentor. However, in alternate universe, Harley has overcome her obsession and attachment to Joker and taken off her rose-tinted glasses. Taking the game’s story of the character from knowledge within the game and not looking into outside sources, there could be a possibility that Harley will not be in Arkham forever if she was shown the ability to overcome this weakness for the Joker.

I don’t give a fuck what they say. The outfits are awesome. The alternative one on the bottom is my personal favorite cause I have a thing for biker style.

Mini-Rant time
I just found a post that went all the way back to November 2011 at the very top of the Deadshot tag that listed all the hate for Harley and Deadshot as they are now.
Now, my current understanding is that the posts in the tag are usually listed by the most current posts; not by popularity.
But seeing this seemingly ancient post at the top of the tag page just revived a bit of my annoyance and intolerance for fans that don’t have the ability to accept change when it comes and insist on taking everything, even themselves, back to the past of when “everything was innocence and pure” and take all of their judgement on something fresh and yet don’t apply the same amount of criticism to previous works in the past.
I’m like this.
If you’re gonna just jump with the quickness to heavily criticize present works, you had better do the same with past works.
When someone does this, in my eyes, it is perceived as biased and hypocritical which reduces the quality and the constructive element in their argument to mere childish whining.
While on my work breaks today
I checked out Harley Quinn’s walkthrough videos and ending and watched the story mode on youtube.
Harley’s ending - I would give a B+.
Harley’s role in story mode - I would give an A+.
Needless to say, I’m satisfied with how she was portrayed and her role in the game pleased me.

When the Joker gets out of Harley’s life, she will eventually get out of her madness. The Joker is Harley’s reason to madness. If he’s not in it, her madness is gone.
